Relaxing Massages

Aromatherapy Massage can be used for a variety of physical and emotional problems including stress, anxiety, depression, fatigue, pain, insomnia, coughs and colds, burns, scar tissue, digestive problems and skin disorders. You will be immersed in a wonderfully relaxing and soothing experience. Your therapist works with you to design a personalized treatment which uses the healing properties of essential oils of your choice to soothe, uplift, energize, relax or stimulate.

Holistic Massage is a form of health therapy using traditional massage techniques aimed at treating the whole person-physical, energetic and emotional-not just part or parts of the body in which symptoms occur. This massage strives to create harmony and wholeness by restoring the balance between the inner self and the environment and reestablishing the flow of energy to the body. Each person is unique and therefore each treatment is suited to the needs of the “whole person”.

Swedish Massage The skin's natural functions will be stimulated improving the condition of the skin and the warmth created will help relax the body physically and mentally. Consists mainly of long strokes over oiled skin, working on the outer layers of muscle tissue to reduce stress and soothe sore joints and muscles. This type of massage will help to relieve tension promoting deep relaxation in the tissues, muscles and nervous system, and also aids circulation and helps with detoxification.

Neurosedative focuses specifically on the nervous system. It is ideal for those who suffer from anxiety, and also for people who are really stressed. Your therapist will decongest the lymphatic system and harmonize the nervous system through very soft, slow and rhythmic movements. A really sedative massage!

Lymphatic Drainage Is a very gentle type of massage therapy used to drain excess fluid from the body and improve the overall functioning of the lymphatic (immune) system. This massage is used to treat Lymphedema, which is characterized by the blockage of lymph nodes in the arms and legs.

Deep Body Work

Deep Tissue Massage is a massage aimed at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia. Deep tissue massage uses many of the same movements and techniques as Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense. It is also a more targeted type of massage. Your therapist will work on you to release any chronic pain, muscle tension or knots.

Deep Tissue Massage – Upper Body Focus gives more attention to the specific muscles of the upper body to decrease pain and tension and increase range of motion. Working down to the deeper layers of tissue this treatment is helpful for chronic neck, shoulder and back conditions.

Tired Legs Is a relaxing and refreshing anti-inflammatory treatment that activates blood circulation. It is beneficial for relaxing the muscle tension of our legs, which support our entire body. Through the meridian lines we un-block the energetic flow through the legs. We recommend this special treatment after a long walk or a hard day.

Fortifying Massages

Reflexology is based on the theory that points on the bottom of the feet are energetically connected to specific areas of the body. By stimulating these points the corresponding body parts are benefited. Reflexology neutralizes the effects of stress by inducing a deep state of relaxation that calms the nervous system and allows the body to achieve a state of equilibrium

Sports MassageThe primary purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which build up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. This treatment is not just for the sports person: anyone can benefit from sports massage, including people in physically demanding jobs.

Sports massage tends to be deeper and more intense. It is based on the various elements of Swedish massage and often incorporates a combination of other techniques involving stretching, compression, friction, toning, and trigger point response techniques similar to Acupressure and Shiatsu. The skilled therapist brings together this blend of techniques, knowledge and advice during treatment, to work effectively with the client to bring about optimum performance and to provide injury-free training and minimize post event injuries.

Ayurverdic Massages

Ayurvedic Massage is the “science of longevity”, an ancient healing practice developed in India. Using soothing strokes and special oils, your therapist will detoxify, balance the system and open the energy channels. You will be asked several pointed questions to help determine your personal constitution and “Dosha”.

Champi Therapy This therapy focuses primarily on the arms, neck, scalp and face using aromatherapy oils, although the back is also addressed. The ancients believed that the body has seven “chakras”, which they described as energy centers or wheels of energy. Champi is said to liberate and rebalance these centers as it allows your mind to send signals to parts of your body where a chakra may be blocked.

Shirodhara (Third Eye Therapy) The word shirodhara can be broken down into the words “head” and “flow”. After receiving a relaxing back massage to prepare you for this sublime therapy, a soothing stream of warm scented oil will be poured onto the centre of the forehead or the “third eye.” Not only does this treatment calm and harmonizes the entire nervous system, it has also been shown to synchronize brain waves and coordinate mind and body.

Abhyanga (Four Hands Therapy) A unique herbal oil massage given in tandem by two therapists working as one. Besides deeply moisturizing the skin, stimulating circulation, soothing the muscles and lubricating the joints, this double massage has the added benefit of promoting balance between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It is a treatment that enhances the immune system, relives aches and pains dramatically and assists in the detoxification of the blood, lymph and muscle tissues. With its synergetic motions, this treatment leaves one feeling balanced and utterly relaxed.

Mayan Massages

Sobada Maya – Traditional Mayan Massage is an incredible healing form developed by the ancient Maya. Sobada Maya acknowledges the importance of the navel region as the body’s “power center” and is beneficial for both men and women. Focusing on the abdominal region, internal organs, and digestive system, this deep belly massage will have an amazingly profound and lasting effect.

Mayan Clay Massage uses therapeutic Mayan clay applied to the face, body, and hair in the form of a deep Swedish massage. This draws out impurities from the skin tissue and permits the body’s absorption of minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and phosphorus. After a shower rinse, this treatment is followed by a relaxing Swedish oil massage.

Honey Chan Kaab Using locally produced honey famed for its medicinal attributes, this treatment begins with a gentle sea salt exfoliation leaving your skin silky soft; a warm honey massage on the back follows. This deeply detoxifies the body through the blood, at the same time, revitalizes and balances the hormonal system. A relaxing full body oil massage completes this treatment.

Prenatal Massages refers to specific massage techniques that have been shown to reduce pregnancy discomforts and to enhance the physiological and emotional well-being of both mother and fetus. Massage has been known to calm many of the aches and pains associated with pregnancy such as sciatica, swelling, back and neck pain, and stomach upset. Prenatal massage has also been shown to relieve physical discomforts by encouraging circulation and by stretching the muscles and joints to their full range of motion to improve skin elasticity and body tone.

Therapeutic Massages

Hot Stones Therapy harmonizes the chakras by utilizing the stone’s energy. The warmed, oiled stones are placed on the chakras or energy centers, and areas of pain in the body allowing the heat and essential oils that correspond to each chakra penetrate deeply to soothe and relieve tension. This therapy can help in the treatment of: muscular aches, pains, strains, rheumatic and arthritic conditions, Multiple Sclerosis, Fibromyalgia, back pain, and insomnia. It also helps to improve circulation and can help reduce stress, anxiety, tension and depression.

Auricular Therapy A treatment derived from the ancient Chinese art of acupuncture, this therapy uses stimulation of the external ear to alleviate conditions. We believe that the various parts of the body are "mapped" on the external ear similar to the way reflexologists find a mapping of body parts in the feet and hands. Stimulation of the ear at locations corresponding to body parts is thought to have a beneficial effect on those organs. A wide variety of problems can be treated. Alcoholism, allergies, depression, chronic pain, insomnia while almost any condition could also have been included.

Reiki Massage Combo The word “Reiki” in Japanese translates roughly as “universal life force energy”. This explains why Reiki can only be passed from master to apprentice, and why the theory behind this spiritual practice upholds that only a skilled Reiki practitioner can absorb energy from the universe, and then channel it into a patient in order to improve their health and well-being, with the reiki master acting as the conduit - removing bad energy and replacing it with good energy. This channeling of good energy will then encourage the patient to heal. Your therapist will help you to release those blockages and imbalances in the energetic bodies (mental, physical, emotional and spiritual). This therapy is paired with a relaxing Swedish massage. This combo will instantly uplift the body and soul.

Shiatsu consists of a finger-pressure technique that utilizes the traditional acupuncture points of Oriental healing. Similar to acupressure, Shiatsu concentrates on unblocking the flow of life energy (or chi) and restoring the balance in the various meridians on the body. When these meridians are unblocked the major body systems and organs they represent are encouraged to heal and attain perfect balance. Your therapist will gently rock and stretch the body while at the same time apply different finger and thumb pressure to points. Shiatsu invigorates as well as relaxes and is excellent for stress and pain management. Please wear loose fitting clothing.

Four Elements Therapy is a therapy used to relax, restore, balance, and energize body, mind and soul. It includes head, hands, feet and a back massage. In order to cleanse the aura and channel energy, your therapist will use crystals and the four elements of fire, water, air and earth.

The ancients consider the four elements the foundation of the whole universe and consequently they are used with great respect.

  • Fire works on a spiritual level
  • Earth works on a elemental level
  • Water works on an emotional level
  • Air works on a physical

Suction Cupping Therapy is an ancient Chinese method that is very useful and safe; it adopts a suction gun to produce a negative air pressure vacuum inside cups which have been placed on the skin. The suction works to release rigid soft tissues and muscles. The skin reddens after the cup is left in place for a few minutes. The purpose of using cups in this way is to apply pressure for the relaxation of muscles and overall promotion of well-being.

Cupping has also been found to affect the body up to four inches into the tissues, causing the tissues to release toxins, activate the lymphatic system, clear colon blockages, help activate and clear the veins, arteries and capillaries, activate the skin, clear stretch marks and diminish varicose veins. Cupping is the best deep tissue massage available.

Cristal Therapy Everything possesses an aura or energetic field which emanates a specific vibration; we are constantly exchanging energy with what ever surrounds us. Using crystals is a conscious choice to be influenced by a certain type of energy. When we place crystals on the body their properties are absorbed by the aura and it in turn activates corresponding qualities or faculties inside the person.

During the session, the therapist will place stones on and around the body in a pattern that traces the chakras, which are the energies within your body. This chakra map is said to harness the essential energy that will encourage the body to heal, and disperse any blockages within. Certain crystals, such as quartz, amethyst or clear quartz, can harness vital body energy.
