We did all our preps for this monster and evacuate the lodge yesterday, we had two guests and good friends, Rick and Tom Wyatt, who got to fish until Sunday and leave three days earlier, as usual we will reschedule the other three. We were very concerned about a total destruction since this cat 5 was coming straight to us. During the last hours the eye moved down and hit Chetumal, close to the border with Belize, we got some hurricane force winds, but not as bad as the ones that got the eye. We hope our friends from Xcalak and Belize did not suffer too much damage, they were closer to the eye, but on the South quadrant, which is the weakest. We thank all of you who sent messages and have us in your thoughts and prayers, we will post a notice on Thursday or Friday after we get back for damage evaluation and we can have an estimated time to start operations again. I will also try to fish, because usually after hurricans permit are everywhere and biting, I will keep you posted.
