Only 90 miles south of Cancun lies the spectacular Ascension Bay. Located within the biosphere reserve, it offers endless wadable crystal clear flats, mangrove lagoons, channels, reefs, where bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, barracudas, jacks, snappers, groupers and others swim.

Ascension Bay offers year round possibilities for bonefish, permit, jacks, barracudas and snappers, seasonal for tarpon, April through October and snook November through March.

Hard white sand flats loaded with bonefish will allow fisherman to hunt for bonefish, it takes good eyes to see them, patience and skills to present your flie or jig at the right spot without making too much noise, move it properly, set the hook with a stripper and let it run.

Bonefish live in Ascension Bay year round, however fishing varies according to several cycles, weather affecting water temperature, tides, moon phase, spooning and all of these factors driving.
